Put Some Extra Romance in Your Wedding

Getting married in the church has long been a tradition, but in recent years more couples are choosing to step outside of the box and find somewhere different for their nuptials. Today more brides are looking for exotic romantic wedding locations to add a certain air of mystique to what is supposed to be the most important day in their lives. There are many different romantic wedding locations to choose from and each one of them has its own advantages and disadvantages depending on whether you are looking for a romantic spot or somewhere that can be fun and romantic at the same time.

Add to that you need to be thinking about wedding reception locations as well if you are planning to have a big reception. This is one of the reasons many couples are not using the church for their wedding is the need to rent a second location for the reception, which can be somewhat expensive.

If you are looking for somewhere fun, romantic and unique consider hiring a charter boat for your wedding. You can take your whole wedding party out into the ocean or lake and say your vows while float on the waves. You can hire a larger party boat which can hold up to 100 guests and give you plenty of room to have your reception once your vows are said. Not only is there plenty of room but many charter boats will cater your reception and have an open bar and a DJ to keep your party dancing the evening away.

Many of the most romantic Southern California locations for your wedding are of course on the beach. For many couples, especially those who like to spend a lot of time at the beach this is the most romantic location imaginable as the groom watches his barefoot bride crossing the sand towards him to become his wife. The romance is heightened by the sun shining down on your wedding while the roar of the surf provides its own special background music.

The beach is not the only water where you can create an incredibly romantic wedding. Picture a canopy or gazebo set up lakeside with the groom and the wedding party waiting as the bride slowly approaches in a hand rowed skiff dressed in a floating wedding gown. All of this while soft wedding music plays in the background. When the ceremony is over the newly married husband and wife can leave the same way and begin their life together.

Today many historic places and mansions have been made available to rent for weddings as a way to bring in much needed money for upkeep and restoration. In many cases you can not only rent the historic location, but find a place nearby that rents period clothing so that you can create your own historical wedding ceremony.
Remember that no matter where you decide to have your wedding it can be as romantic as you want it to be with a little imagination. You do not have to travel to exotic locations or spend a fortune to create a memorable wedding for all involved. One thing to remember, if you are planning to have a reception you need to take this into account as in can cause problems if your guests have to travel too far between the two locations.

Above all remember that this is the one day in your life that you will want to be able to look back on with fond memories. Make sure that you plan carefully and create a complete wedding experience that you can look back on years down the road and remember exactly how you felt on your wedding day.
