Moving Your Wedding Outdoors has Become Very Popular

Your wedding day is the most important day of your life and as such you want to make sure the location you choose is equally special.

More couples today are going with outdoor wedding locations instead of sticking with traditional church locations to make their special day memorable and unique.

What you do need is that while an outdoor wedding can be wonderful not all outdoor weddings will work for every couple and it will be a rather cheap wedding.

When looking at outdoor wedding locations there are several things you need to take into consideration before you make your final choice. There are many different types of outdoor weddings from the casual family wedding in the backyard to incredible unique wedding locations such as taking the whole wedding party snowmobiling to a high mountain top for your nuptials. You can choose to have everyone dress up for a very formal wedding ceremony or have everyone wearing shorts and T-shirts down on the beach.

With so many choices to make you should be thinking about the type of wedding that you want before worrying too much about where you want to have it. If you think that you would prefer to have a more formal, traditional wedding you need to make sure that the location you have chosen is suited to this type of wedding.

In many cases a gazebo or canopy can be set up so that the wedding party can be in the shade should you choose to go with more formal attire. The one thing you have to remember is that the weather and the temperature in general can have a major impact on your wedding and your guests.

Romantic wedding locations like the beach or a remote mountain overlook are not really the best place for a traditional wedding where the bride is wearing an elaborate gown with tons of jewelry, the groom in a tuxedo along with an orchestra and all the trimmings. You might find it hard to get the huge wedding cake and the rest of the reception to these locations as well let alone all of your guests. If this is the type of ceremony you had in mind you will find many inns and hotels that offer a pavilion for weddings and celebrations.

This does not mean that the bride should not wear a gown, what it does mean is that she may want to chose a simple casual look. Instead of high heels the bride should look towards wearing more sensible shoes, unless of course you are on the beach when going barefoot is quite acceptable.

For the groom perhaps instead of a tuxedo consider a pair of casual pants and a dress shirt, again an outdoor wedding is not really meant to be a formal affair so stay casual and relaxed.

If you really feel you need a gazebo or archway that has been draped with your favorite flowers, you should look for places that already have them in place as it can be very expensive to rent them for the day. You can find many locations that have manicured grounds to allow you to have an outdoor wedding combined with the elegance that you have in mind for your wedding day.

Remember it is your wedding day and everything needs to be the way you want it to be. This means doing a little research and planning to make your wedding the most memorable day in your life.
